Public Relations Agent
Description of the Offer
We are looking for a Public Relations Agent dedicated to SOF Opportunity Funds. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world. Your focus will be on promoting our funds, attracting contributors and backers, and connecting with potential investors, indie developers, and gaming communities under our banner.
Your day-to-day will involve crafting outreach campaigns around fund milestones and stretch goals, coordinating coverage with gaming press and content creators, managing communications with current and potential contributors, and ensuring consistent messaging across all fund-related channels. All coordination happens asynchronously through digital tools, so you can work from any timezone.
This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of crowdfunding and investment communities, and the ability to communicate the value of SOF Opportunity Funds to diverse audiences. Experience working with gaming, crowdfunding, or startup fundraising is a plus.
As a remote team member, you should be comfortable managing your own schedule, communicating proactively across timezones, and taking initiative without constant direction. We value clear thinking, reliability, and someone who can adapt quickly as priorities shift.
Main Activities
- Draft and distribute press releases for SOF fund launches, milestones, and announcements
- Connect with journalists, bloggers, and content creators on behalf of SOF
- Coordinate media coverage and manage inbound press inquiries for SOF funds across timezones
- Monitor SOF brand mentions and sentiment across social and news platforms
- Develop talking points and messaging guides for SOF fund communications
- Collaborate asynchronously with SOF marketing on campaign alignment and cross-channel strategy
- Identify and pursue partnership and co-marketing opportunities for SOF globally
- Represent SOF in virtual forums, online events, and community discussions
Profile Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to work independently and represent a brand remotely
- Familiarity with digital media, social platforms, and content distribution channels
- Ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging for SOF fund audiences
- Comfortable with asynchronous communication tools such as Slack, Notion, and Discord
- Experience working with gaming, tech, or startup brands under a unified banner is a plus
- Portfolio or examples of previous PR work, press coverage, or campaigns
